Cuprum Undergoes Major Refurbishment to provide leading reception and amenity space in Glasgow
CityBee, the UK office joint venture between Europi Property Group and Trinova Real Estate, is excited to announce the completion of the major refurbishment works undertaken to the reception and the conversion of car parking into an Active Hub area at Cuprum, Glasgow.
This project has renovated the reception area to provide an impressive entrance experience for tenants. The new reception desking, signage and common area space follow a consistent theme, which reflects the name of the building through the copper design accents. Featuring high quality furnishings throughout and a living green wall, the area showcases the sustainability and amenity provision focus of the wider CityBee portfolio.
The quality of finish continues into the new active hub. Extensive and secure cycle storage and lockers with male and female changing facilities transform the arrival experience for both cycle to work commuters and the wider tenant base. Supporting these sustainable initiatives, by creating the infrastructure to encourage more active travel is another key aspiration for CityBee, and a practical way to ensure the greener occupation of buildings.
The refurbishment works have been met with widespread praise from both incumbent tenants and the wider market. CityBee is proud to have partnered with architects Keppie, project management team Hollis and contractor Advanced Building Contracts to have delivered this successful scheme, and looks forward to working with occupiers to ensure the new facilities are enjoyed by all.
Mike McCarrick, Head of Asset Management at Trinova commented “Whilst there is currently some market discussion about exactly what the definition of Grade A space really means, with an A rated EPC; a Platinum Active Score certificate; a new working environment that tenants, their employees and guests can get excited about visiting; and a focus on customer service from the local management team, we are confident that Cuprum now sits up there with the best of the office buildings in the competitive Glasgow market.”
James Tootell, Asset Management Director at Europi Property Group, added: “We are delighted to see the completion of this latest investment into the CityBee portfolio, and are pleased with the positive feedback received from both the occupiers and the wider market. With only one suite remaining in the building, we are confident the new facilities will be highly valued by both current and future occupiers.”
